The hub will be home to the AIRSHIP Village project and be the industrial nerve centre for the AIRSHIP industry of tomorrow as planned by the "Transport and Industry of the Future" programme to be managed by the SAFE Cluster competitivity hub under the aegis of the Ministry of the Economy. In 2019 the STRATOBUS™ platform will deploy the TD1 demonstrator developed by THALES ALENIA SPACE. The lighter than air airship will service permanent observation and telecom assignments from an altitude of 20km.

The Regional authorities have decided to support and be a stakeholder in new airborne services with an innovative territorial marketing approach. They will be supporting the development of airborne applications in the fields of observation, detection, surveillance, rescue, telecommunications, heavy load transportation, according to a sustainable development model.
